Enodo

Enodo AS is an advanced engineering consultancy firm. It was established in 2018 as a spin-off from Department of Structural Engineering / SIMLab at NTNU. The company specialises in analysing material behaviour and structural performance, with a strong background in research, computational mechanics, and structural engineering.

Enodo’s core offering is advanced engineering services related to materials and structures, including nonlinear finite element simulations, material and component testing, model development, parameter identification, and development of material subroutines.

What is supplied

The newly published objects have been developed with focus on reliable calibration, experimental grounding, and practical validation. The calibrations are designed to be thorough and robust, including regularisation of failure parameters with respect to element size. This helps ensure that the material behaviour remains consistent and reliable across different simulation setups.

A key principle behind the development of these objects is that calibration is always based on experimental data. Material parameters are calibrated from material tests, providing a solid and traceable basis for the models.

Where suitable data is available, the material objects are also validated against component tests. One example is the attached dynamic pipe simulation, which demonstrates how the calibrated material object performs in a more application-oriented scenario.

The future

The first three objects have already been uploaded to the market, and more are planned for publication in the near future.
