The ARA annual meetings are attended by an international group of scientists and engineers from government, academia, and industry involved in various aspects of maintaining, upgrading, and utilizing launcher technology for a variety of research applications, mostly involving defense or aerospace applications. The meeting is primarily composed of technical talks presented by the ARA members.

The 27th International Symposium on Military Aspects of Blast and Shock (MABS27) will be held from October 5th to 10th 2025 in Colmar, France.

This event will present a wide range of papers and presentations from international scientists, engineers, consultants and students working in the field of blast and shock research.

We welcome you to our first Impetus user meeting in Paris, France!

On the October 28th, we will host our user meeting, which will be a day of presentations, discussion, information sharing and networking for France-based users, as well as prospective users, of the Impetus solver.

Our next IMPETUS Fundamentals training is around the corner, a hands-on introduction to numerical modelling of weapon effects using the IMPETUS Solver.

Whether you are starting out or want a structured refresher, this live digital course gives you the foundation you need to build, edit, and run simulations with confidence.

We have the pleasure of inviting you to our user meeting followed by a traditional “julebord” in Oslo on 12 November. 

The user meeting will be hosted by FFI – Norwegian Defence Research Establishment, at Kunnskapens hus, Kjeller, Instituttveien 20, outside Oslo. The building is next to the main gate of FFI. Our julebord is at Engebret Café, Bankplassen 1, in the centre of Oslo. 

The International Nordmetall Colloquium brings together national authorities, industrial and scientific partners.

The presentations mainly focus on how basic knowledge can be transferred into civil and safety applications.
