We are pleased to present version 11.0.1 of IMPETUS Solver. This is a small patch release that mostly fixes bugs, but there are also some new features and improvements. Please check out the Engine and GUI changelogs for complete list of changes. Some of the new features are highlighted below. As always, the new version can be downloaded here.
Project hierarchy – clone tracking
In Project it is now possible to get a hierarchical view of analyses based on clone history. When a new analysis is created by cloning another, that relationship is saved in the project. You can add notes and other meta-data specifying what changed, why and what effect the change had. Click on the new Lineage tab to see the hierarchy view of the analyses together with a customizable set of columns with meta-data. For existing projects, you can set the relationship manually by right-clicking an analysis and setting the parent.
This should make it easier to keep track of the changes in a project and what the different analyses did.
Fair share job scheduling
Added support for fair-share job scheduling in Solve. To activate, go to Server Info dialog, Scheduler tab. Here admin can change policy to fair share. In this mode, the scheduler will try to balance the waiting jobs among all users instead of the standard first-in first-out queue.
